WELCOME TO THE SCHOOLS GOLF WEBSITE

This website has been designed to enable the efficient running of the Interschool Golf League. The league, which is entering its tenth year, is contested between 36 school teams, from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The site allows competitors to access fixtures, results and log standings at any time.

This website also informs junior golfers about other events run by schools, such as the Woodland's International Golf Championship and the Dainfern College Annual National Golf Championship. A new feature is a link to Central Gauteng Golf Union, which boys can visit in order to see upcoming events.

By running these junior golf events on the site it will hopefully grow the game of golf, and thereby increase the status of golf as a school sport. To this end it is envisaged that all interschool golf leagues throughout South Africa will, in the future, be run on this site. For more information please contact golf@stjohnscollege.co.za.

'Congratulations to Curro Aurora for winning the 2015 A league Final. It was a superb day with only a few shots between the top three schools. I wish all of the sides the best of luck for the 2015/2016 season.'

The league was yet again extremely successful, with more than 20 schools participating. We welcome a few new schools this year and wish them all the best.  The change in season last year was a success, and will run this year from September 2015 till March 2016.  I thank all the MiCs for their support with the new fixture day and look forward to the new season.

I would like to extend my thanks to all the staff who have given of their time to manage the teams, but especially to the Players for their camaraderie and love for the game.
