SCHOOLS GOLF WEBSITE
This
website has been designed to enable the efficient
running of the Golf Style Interschool Golf League.
The league, which is entering its sixth year, is
contested between 35 school teams, from Johannesburg and
Pretoria. The site allows competitors to access fixtures,
results and log standings at anytime.
We would like to extend a welcome to Helpmekaar, Sacred Heart, Linden and St Peter's who have joined us in 2010. There are now 5 "GROUPS", with four of them being chosen on basic geography.
This
website also informs junior golfers about other events
run by schools, such as the St John’s College
International Schools Golf Tournament, now sponsored
by First National Bank and the Dainfern College Annual
National Golf Championship. A new feature is a link
to Central
Gauteng Foundation, which boys can visit
in order to see upcoming events.
By
running these junior golf events on the site it will
hopefully grow the game of golf, and thereby increase
the status of golf as a school sport. To this end
it is envisaged that all interschool golf leagues
throughout South Africa will, in the future, be run
