to the Schools Golf Website
This
website has been designed to enable the efficient
running of the Osram Lamps Interschool Golf League.
The league, which is entering its third year, is contested
between 14 schools, 13 from Johannesburg and 1 from
Pretoria. The site allows competitors
to access fixtures, results and log standings at anytime.
This
website also informs junior golfers about other events
run by schools, such as the St John’s College
International Schools Golf Tournament, now sponsored
by First National Bank and the Dainfern College Annual
National Golf Championship.
By
running these junior golf events on the site it will
hopefully grow the game of golf, and thereby increase
the status of golf as a school sport. To this end
it is envisaged that all interschool golf leagues
throughout South Africa will, in the future, be run
